Dietsche, Lillian (08 MAY 1925 - 05 AUG 1941)

Lillian Lucille Dietsche, daughter of the late John Dietsche and Cora Yates Dietsche, was born May 8, 1925, in the town of Sherman.  Her death, Tuesday, August 5, 1941 resulted from injuries received in an accident on highway 98 three and one half miles east of Loyal.  Funeral services were held at Salem Lutheran church, Veefkind, the church in which Lillian was baptized as an infant and confirmed June 25, 1939.  Rev. Albrecht and Rev. Langholz officiated and burial was in the Spencer cemetery.

Lillian attended the grade school at Veefkind and had completed two years of high school work at Loyal.  She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Cora Dietsche, five brothers, Wallace of Loyal, Paul and Allen of Milwaukee, Alpheus and John of Spencer; five sisters, Mrs. Wilbur (Naomi) Kayhart of Spencer, Mrs. Gustave (Lauretta) Pischer of Linsey, Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Hoffman of Milwaukee, Mrs. Ernst (Marion) Karau and Mr. Carl (Katherine) Hoff of Marshfield; her aged grandparents, David T. Yates of Charlotte, Mich., and Mrs. Margaret Dietsche of Abbotsford, and many other relatives and friends.

The many beautiful floral offerings were carried by Dorothy Kanneberg, Deloris Adler, Lucille Engelbretso, Erma Karau, Wilma Guetscho, Darlene Pischer, Eloise Pischer and Lelah Nelle Peden.  "Heaven Is My Home" was sung by Dorothy Kanneberg, and "Asleep In Jesus" by friends, with Mrs. Dietz playing the organ.  Pall bearers were Edwin Kanneberg, Kenneth Kanneberg, LaVern West, Donald Weyhmuller, Delbert Dietz, and Arnold Below.  Those who came from away, relatives of the deceased, to attend the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Dietsche and children and Allen Dietsche of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. John Robinson and children of Milton Junction; Mr. and Mrs. John Forster and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Schultz of Janesville, and Mr. and Mrs. Archie Bickle of Edgerton.

A conscientious and bright young lady was removed from this community in the death of Lillian.  She was a loving and obedient daughter and sister, and was a friend to all who knew her.  She was an industrious student, and her death caused much sorrow to her classmates in Loyal high.
