Denk, Mary (14 Feb. 1890-24? July 1958)

 

Mrs. William (Mary) Denk, 68, Greenwood, died last Wednesday evening at Madison General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past several weeks. Previously she had been hospitalized at Marshfield for a cerebral hemorrhage.

 

Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. Benno J. Korbick officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

 

The former Mary Gintner was born Feb. 14, 1890, in Clark Mills and was married there to William Joseph Denk on Oct. 12, 1910. He preceded her in death in January 1957.

 

After their marriage they came to a farm near Greenwood, living there until his death in 1957. She then moved to the city of Greenwood, where she has lived since.

 

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, St. Ann’s Society, the Royal Neighbors, and the Home Interest Homemakers.

 

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Marion) Lyons, Phillips; Mrs. Victor (Dorothy) Wagner, Greenwood; eight sons, Gerald, Bernard, William, Jr., and Jack Denk, all of Greenwood; Leonard Denk, Loyal; Virgil Denk, Alma Center; Donald Denk, Marshfield; Ronald Denk, Milwaukee.

 

Forty grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters, Mrs. Cyril Marborouah, Clark Mills; Mrs. Raymond Mallman, Kohler; Mrs. Edward Krall, Valders; Mrs. Ida Tuschel. Manitowoc.

 

Two sons, Robert and Delbert preceded her in death.
