FATHER UNTRAUT DIES SATURDAY EVENING
Rev. Herman Joseph Untraut, 87, who served as the chaplain at St Joseph hospital in Marshfield for 12 years prior to 1932, died Saturday night at his home in that city. Father Untraut had been in poor health for some time. The Pontifical Requiem High Mass was held Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at St. John the Baptist Catholic church in Marshfield with the Most Rev. Wm. R. Griffin, Auxiliary Bishop of the La Crosse Diocese as celebrant.
Father Untraut was well known in Spencer, having been the celebrant at Masses in the Christ the King Catholic church on numerous occasions.
