FORMER RESIDENT OF THE TOWN OF SPENCER DIES

Mrs. Susan Wonders, aged 78, a resident of the town of Spencer for the past 34 years, died Sunday morning at Wausau.  Funeral services will be conducted at the Co-operative Funeral Home in Marshfiesh at 1:30 p.m. and at the Methodist church in Spencer at 2:00 p.m. today, with the Rev. Ellery J. Beal officiating.

Susan Bishell was born on Oct. 23, 1862, at Willow Springs, Lafayette county, and was married to George Wonders there 65 years ago.  They came to the town of Spencer from Darlington 34 years ago and engaged in farming.  Mr. Wonders died on Jan. 18, 1941, and Mrs. Wonders was also preceded in death by a son, George Jr., in February, 1940, and by a daughter, Mrs. Nora Kowalk, in December, 1939.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sophia bee, Settle, Wash. And Mrs. Laura Winters, Wisconsin Rapids; a son, Levi Wonders, Greeley, Neb. And 24 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
