Erwin Hemp and John Poppe attended the masquerade at the Neillsville garage Wednesday evening.

 

Ferdinand Grap will have electric lights in his house and barn.  Stelloh Bros. are installing the plant.

 

Gust Kalsow returned Monday from a several weeks visit at Watertown and Berlin.

 

Services were held in the Lutheran Church Sunday after being none for two Sundays, as the minister was ill.

 

Marie, Bertha, infant daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hagedorn, was christened Sunday by Rev. Parisius.

 

Frieda Henchen has gone to Dubuque, Iowa to work.

 

Mrs. Gus Grap was operated on for rupture at the Neillsville Hospital on Friday.

 

There was a party at the Carl Wegner home Tuesday evening.

 

Elsie Dudei returned home Saturday from West York, where she stayed with her sister, Mrs. Carl Radtke.

 

Albert Hemp sold hay to Free Burg last week.

 

Mrs. G. Mallig received a telegram from Cleveland, Ohio, Thursday, with the sad news of the death of an invalid sister.

 

Arthur Thoma and Emma Kunkel visited friends at Neillsville Sunday.

 

Rost. Lueck and Alfrieda Schoenherr visited Chas. Luck and family in Levis from Saturday until Monday.

The above items could not reach Granton last week, as the mail carrier did not go Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as the roads were drifted badly.

 

The basket sociable at the Weston School could not be had Friday evening on account of the weather.

 

Will Weast, who lives near Greenwood, came to Globe, along the river, Monday to get provisions.

 

Albert Hemp started Thursday to send milk to the Condensary.

 

Elsie Henchen, teacher of the Seif school, is preparing a program and  a sociable for Feb. 22nd.

 

Henry Nemitz and Albert Kalsow were the only ones that braved the storm and went to church Sunday.
