Mrs. Gustie Brown? is on the gain since last week.

Clarence Whitcomb is on the section crew since Monday.

Floyd Winn was at Marshfield on business on Wednesday.

Albion Downer went to Park Falls on Wednesday.

Mrs. A. Martens was at Neillsville on business on Wednesday.

Alvin Pischer went to Neilslville on Wednesday.

Aug. Gluch of Neillsville spent Saturday here on business.

Mrs. Almeda Osgood is recovering from her recent severe illness.

Wm. Dowe was a Neillsville visitor on Tuesday.

Otis Slocomb arrived home from Madison on Saturday.

Hale, Louis and Lawrence Davis spent Wednesday at Marshfield.

Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hohenstein of Route 4 have a new baby boy since Tuesday night.

Herman Schoengarth’s children are quite ill since Sunday.  Baby Dorothea is as yet, very ill.

The Misses Alva Thayer, Mildred Kintzele and Erna Edens were Neillsville visitors on Wednesday.

Mrs. W.J. Thayer spent Wednesday with her old friend and neighbor Mrs. Frank Potter at Neillsville.

Robert Teatz, Albert Marg, Dave Garbisch were county seat visitors on Wednesday.

Gus Beilke bought a 40 acre tract of land of Richard Kurth last week.

Mrs. Aug. Lautenbach is doing nicely since her hospital experience at Eau Claire.

Mrs. Fred Hemp of Neillsville spent yesterday here with her daughter Mrs. Albert Jahr.

Mrs. Kindt of Embarrass and her little brother Rudolph Krueger of Clintonville, after a two week visit at Otis Yordi’s, left for home Wednesday.

Mrs. Gus Holtz and Mrs. Fred Kircherer of Neillsville are at the Louis Plauel home since yesterday assisting in the housework.  Mrs. Holtz is a niece of Mr. Plauel’s.

The little Prange girl, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Prange, is doing nicely at the Marshfield Hospital and it is expected that she will be brought home in a few days now.

Baby Maria Angela Langreck is quite recovered from the effects of the coffee spilling episode of last week and all are rejoicing that she is quite well again.

Ralph Marsh joined the other members of the Steckert Orchestra at Marshfield last week Thursday.  Ralph had had an enforced vacation of two weeks, owing to illness.

Miss Pearl Brooks, who came home from Rice Lake on account of illness two weeks since, went back to her school teaching duties there Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Kurth went to Unity Saturday to attend the funeral of her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Caroline Kops, who died there that morning.

Erwein Brooks and little grandson Master Craig Montage went to Wissota last week Thursday and remained until Monday, visiting Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Norman who are living there.

Mrs. Jay Anders, accompanied by her aunt Mrs. Hopkinson, the latter’s son Joseph, all of Detroit, Mich., are here since last Saturday visiting the former’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Grabe on Route 1.

Mr. and Mrs. George Fosset? Have plans for leaving for St. Louis, Mo., next week Friday to take their little son Wilbur, who has been deprived of the use of his lower limbs for the past two years, through an attack of infantile paralysis, there that they may have a specialist see him.

The Homer King family all but abandoned housekeeping from Friday until Tuesday, owing to being out of wood.

W.J. Thayer went to Milwaukee Tuesday night to attend the Hardware Men’s Convention.

Attorney E.W. Crosby was over from Neillsville Monday to see his parents who are on the sick list.

Mrs. E.W. Crosby came over from Neillsville Tuesday and remained over until Wednesday, helping to care for Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Crosby who were ill.

G.E. Amidon has had a letter from his wife who left for Tawas City, Mich., last Thursday, saying she arrived there all okay and that her father was as yet alive.
