Foemmel’s Corners (10 November 1911)

Mr. Rush Wentworth bought the King farm of Paulson & Davis.

Al Nonhof is having some painting done in the interior of his house this week.

Geo. Frei, Sr. had the misfortune to smash three of his toes while putting in the plank bridge on his farm last week.

Emil Krause lost a yearling colt one day last week.

The Mesdames W. S. Davis, Rush Wentworth and Miss Emma Kimball called on Mrs. Truman Davis Sunday afternoon.

Mrs. John Pietenpol called on her father and took supper with him at W. S. Davis’ Saturday evening.

E. R. Wonser and family spent Sunday afternoon at Al Nonhof’s.

The Mesdames A. Nonhof and A. J. Lammers did shopping in Neillsville Friday.

Will Foemmel has bought a gasoline engine and feed cutter.

Merle, Gernie, Tessie and Beatrice Sweet, Eldred Davis and Vera Huff were Sunday guests at the Fred Cole home.

Mr. Ed Clark is expected here this week from Sheboygan.  He intends to rent a farm.  He has quite a little capital of his own with which to stock up a farm and one would do well to see him.

Lautenbach threshed Wednesday for Davis & Paulson here on MR. Wentworth’s place.

Mr. and Mrs. John Breese took dinner with the latter’s sister, Mrs. Chas. Hayden, Sunday.

Mrs. Huntley assisted Mrs. Earle Davis with the threshers, Wednesday.

The A. J. Lammers’ phone which has been out of commission for some time is O.K. again.

Mr. Fred Wonser and Miss Foster visited with his sister, Mrs. Nonhof one day this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Phipps arrived Saturday from Sheboygan County on a visit at Orren Montgomery’s.
