Medo-Farms Dairy Installs New Milk Cooler Recently
The Medo-Farms dairy, operated by Herbert Wilhelmi, has installed a new milk cooler.
A 90 gallon-an-hour Babcock cooler cools the milk from about 98 degrees at milking time, to 45 degrees in a few minutes after milking.
Spring water, at 43 degrees, is pumped through the cooler with a pressure water system, and the milk passed over coils.
