Miss Maxine Turenne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Turenne, became the bride of James Mitchel Biser, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Biser, on Saturday, June 11, 1960 at St. Hedwig’s Chapel, Thorp. Father Disher performed the 12:30 ceremony.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a pure silk gown detailed with embroidered Alencon motifs, delicately accented with sequins and pearls and featuring a Sabrina neckline with chapel length train. Her flowers consisted of a white orchid and stephanotis.
Miss Dorothy Kliminski, the maid of honor, and Miss Jacqueline Hedler, bridesmaid, wore dresses of pastel embroidery cascades over white sheer organza which was nipped in with light blue cummerbunds. Their bouquets consisted of light blue daisies.
Attending the groom were Roger Turenne and Kenneth Biser. Ushers were Richard Turenne and Bill Harycki.
A reception, given by Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Turenne, was held at four p.m.
The bride is a graduate of Thorp High School and was employed by Northwestern Mutual Life Ins., Milwaukee. The groom is a graduate of Thorp High School and Stout State College. Beginning July 1 he will be employed by Marshall Erdman and Associates, Inc., Madison, Wis., where the couple will make their home.
