(Last week’s items)

Eli Heck spent the past week with his parents in Watertown.

Ed Diercks made a trip to the York Center Cheese factory last Monday after some cheese boxes for Ben Wiskow.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Vandeberg and Miss Goldie Anderson spent Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. Pease.  A surprise had been planned for that evening in honor of Mr. Pease’s birthday, but on account of the intensely cold weather and bad condition of the roads, no one ventured out, only those mentioned above.

New being scarce, we went in search of some last Tuesday, but all weekend was snow, snow everywhere piled up in drifts and the highways almost impassable.  The mail carrier on route 4 from Neillsville did not cover the entire route since last Wednesday, until on Tuesday of this week.  The patrons were all delighted and got an unusual supply of mail on Tuesday.
