Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Vine and his nephews Lester, Lyle and Walter Carter, all of Crandon, with Mrs. Vine accompanied the remains of the late Fred Vine Sr. down from Crandon on Monday.
John Ziglinski is very low since his second stroke of paralysis suffered last week. There is little or no hope of his recovery.
Miss Nellie Rexa of Alexandria, Minn. is here keeping house for her sister Mrs. Will West during the latter’s absence and illness at the hospital in Neillsville.
Will Kurth went to Madison early last week to attend a telephone meeting. His wife and little daughter Norma joined him there last week Wednesday enroute to Milwaukee where on Monday Mrs. Kurth in one of that city’s hospitals underwent a critical surgical operation for a trouble of long standing.
Mr. Luedke of South Grant, a patient at the Marshfield hospital where he underwent an operation for relief from an abscess on his lungs, died Saturday and the remains were brought home on Sunday. The funeral took place Tuesday.
Ted Selves is in Minnesota on a business trip since Monday.
Dr. Ross was called to see little Velma May King late last week and she is since mending nicely.
Mrs. Tom Counsell, after spending 2 weeks with Mrs. Jas. Hughes, went home on Friday.
Mrs. Blackman, Mrs. Otis Slocomb and Mrs. Will Waterman were among those visiting Mrs. West at the Neillsville Hospital last week.
