Oscar Franke sawed wood for C. Albrecht Tuesday.

Harry Eide is busy hauling sand from Lindsey creek which he is going to use for re-building the arch in his cheese factory.

Since Mr. Happe the expert repaired Louis Sternitzky’s gasoline engine it goes like a yellow streak.

Gossip has it that Jake Henning will be cashier of the Chili bank.

East Lynn has a curiosity that would be hard to duplicate. Some call it harpoon, while others say it is a hay knife. But to lay all jokes aside it is as hungry a looking object as ever human eyes rested upon. One end of this great instrument resembles a Turkish dagger and the other end is a good imitation of a ramrod used in olden times for a gattling gun. C. Guk at present has it in his possession, but it is rumored the treasure belongs to one of the neighbors.  It is used mostly for stabbing pine snakes and bull frogs and all other animals that are dangerous to approach.

Miss Louise Grade returned home last Saturday after a few weeks stay with her sister, Mrs. Vint Lee.

The R. W. and C. Guk families drove to Granton last Thursday and took Thanksgiving dinner at Chas Neinas’ and the following is what they consumed: 2 geese, 1 gobbler, 6 spring chickens, a quarter of beef and 100 pounds of wiener wurst.

Louis Sternitzky who has been in search of a hired man the past few months and has been unable to fine one turned the matter over to Mr. Stork, hoping that he might help him in his predicament and his efforts have not been in vain, for early Sunday morning he arrived with a bright little fellow in tow. Although he is rather small yet for a wood chipper and might be unable to fill the bill, but have a little patience and let the new comer for a while fill something that is long and deep and wide and has rockers by its side.  Mother and son are doing well.  It is also rumored that Louis is a spry as a spring chicken. The next thing in order; are the cigars.  Jim says the past will be forgiven, aber dass du hund das nicht wieder thust.

The A. Lindow family took Thanksgiving dinner with Mrs. E. Steinbach.

Howard White the teacher gave each of his pupils a sack of candy for Thanksgiving and it was greatly appreciated by the youngsters.
