Bonk, Edward A. (12 NOV 1896 - 10 JUL 1960)
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday July 13 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church for Edward Adam Bonk, 63, who died Sunday, July 10, 1960 of cancer of the liver at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Constance Chilicki officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Badzinski, Walter Baldeschwiler, Ray Giwojna, Henry Quelle, Ed Alger and Peter Wnek.
St. Hedwig’s Girls’ Choir sang during the services, accompanied by Ann Harycki at the organ.
Edward Bonk was born Nov. 12, 1896. His marriage to Ruth Haas took place Sept. 17, 1946 in North Creek. He worked in Chicago, Ill. before operating a farm in this area, and later resided in the city of Thorp.
Surviving are his wife, daughter, Constance, and son, Stanley, at home. Brothers and sisters surviving are Stanley Bonk, Sister Innocent, C.R., Mrs. Julius Des Beins, Mrs. James Nichols and Miss Dorothy Bonk, all of Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Pietrick, Royalton, Minn.
Attending the services from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Bonk, Mr. and Mrs. Julius Des Beins, Mr. and Mrs. James Nichols and son, Miss Dorothy Bonk, Mr. and Mrs. All Lukowicz and Mr. and Mrs. Dean has, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Frank Pietrick Sr. and son and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pietrick Jr., Royalton, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Art Hanson, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Ciolkosz, Chippewa Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Haas and Mr. and Mrs. Melburn Haas, Stanley.
