Miss Rachel Micke, Milwaukee became the bride of Eugene Hill, Milwaukee on Saturday, July 23, 1960 at St. Anne’s Church, Stanley. Rev. Edmund Cramer performed the nine a.m. ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Anton Micke, Rt. 3, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Hill, Bloomer, Wis.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of white tulle and lace styled with long net sleeves and a Sabrina neckline accented with tiny pearls and iridescent sequins. The full skirt was detailed with flounce lace at the hemline and small tuffle ruffles highlighted the back of the gown. Her elbow length illusion veil was caught to a lace headpiece studded with pearls and sequins. Her cascade bouquet of white Fiji mums was centered with an orchid.
Diane Benzschawel was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Marlene Oberle, Loretta Olinski and Carol Ciokiewicz. They wore street length dresses of mint green chiffon styled with white lace cummerbunds and scooped necklines. Each carried white baskets of yellow pompoms.
Ronald Petska, Fred Henderson, Norbert Micke and Gary Hill were the groom’s attendants. Ushers were Wally Olinski and Alfred Wozney.
A reception was held at the Stanley Auditorium.
The couple will make their home at 3319 W. McKinley Rd., Milwaukee, Wis.
