Funeral services for Mrs. Veronica Wisniewski, 87, Fort Meyers, Fla., were held Thursday morning at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Gregory Reuter officiating. Burial was in the Medford Catholic Cemetery.
Mrs. Wisniewski died at the Memorial Hospital, Fort Meyers, Fla. Monday morning. She had been making her home with her daughter for the past six years, since the death of her husband.
She was born in Krakow, Poland on Feb. 3, 1873, and was married there in 1892 to Stefan Wisniewski. In 1902 the couple came to the United States, settling at Menasha and about eight years later went to Taylor County, where they lived on a farm 2 miles north of Medford. For a time they lived in Steger, Ill., then returned to Taylor County where they lived in Lublin.
Surviving her are six children, John Wisniewski, town of Hamel, Tony Wisniewski, Palatine, Ill., Mrs. Esther Fair, Hartley, Don Wisniewski, Edgar, Mrs. Helen Wilson, Forty Meyers, Mrs. George Goranson, Chicago, She is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Eight children preceded her in death.
