Salzwedel, Mrs. Lester ( SEPT 1958)
Mrs. Helna Salzwedel has returned from Pierre, S. Dakota, where she was called to attend the funeral of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lester Salzwedel. Her death was caused by the explosion of a gas heater in the basement of her home. In 1957 Lester Salzwedel fell from a scaffold while painting. The fall resulted in a brain hemorage which caused his death. Four small children, ages from two to eleven, are orphaned by the two deaths.. Th two year old is in the hospital with a broken hip, caused by the explosion.
In 1956 a son-in-law, Howard Brown of Marshfield, was electrocuted while working under his home. The following year her daughter, Mrs. Howard Brown, died.
In June of this year a granddaughter, Ruby Johnson, of Rhinelander died in Marshfield, the result of a car accident.
