King, Hattie (Marriage - 30 July 1910)
A pleasant surprise was sprung on we Grantonites Sunday morning when we learned of the marriage of Mr. Otis Beardsley and Miss Hattie King which took place in the Charles Chapel home in Marshfield the evening before, Rev. F. M. Fraser of the M. E. Church of that place officiating.
The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer King, a pretty and accomplished young woman who has successfully taught school in several near-by districts and who will creditably fill the position she is through this marriage henceforth elected to fill. Mr. Beardsley who is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G., L. Beardsley of Neillsville has been here the past two years in the jewelry business where through his honest, upright square dealing and pleasing manner he has enjoyed a good trade and built up a fine business. It is with much pleasure we see this young couple marrying and settling here in Granton where both are equally needed. They have rented the Fraser residence east of the opera house and expect to begin housekeeping there late next week.
