Mundt, Ernestine (30 AUG 1838 - FEB 1917)

Ernestine Prust was born in German Aug. 30, 1838 and there was married to Charles Mundt in 1867.  She came with him to this country when but a bride, that same year.  They first settled in Brown County, this state, and there remained until moving to the town of Fremont (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1884.  Here they have since resided.  She was a thorough homemaker and natural mother.  She is survived by her husband and five children, namely Tillie, Mrs. Joe Brandt of England; John of South Range, Wis., Richard of Osseo, Bertha, Mrs. Oscar Thompson of Milwaukee and Charles of the town of Fremont.  Two sons have preceded her in death, Robert who died eight years ago and William who passed away only last April.  There are 13 grandchildren surviving, besides 4 brothers, Fred Prust of Winona, Will and Charles of Brown County and August of Chili, and one sister, Mrs. Annie Kuckenbicker of Brown County.

All of her children with the exception of Tillie across the ocean, are, with her 4 brothers and her one sister, here, and in attendance at the funeral which is being held at the Chili M.E. Church this Friday afternoon, Rev. Wilson Mallory officiating.  The pallbearers are Adolph Pusheck, Frank Waterman, Thode Harriman, Vincent Meyer, Anton Horneck, and W.R. Happe.  Interment will be made in the Yolo Cemetery.
