Jos Sneberg was a county seat visitor on Thursday.
Chester Finnigan was a county seat visitor on Saturday.
Steven Harsky of Rout 4 went to Alma Center Saturday.
Mrs. Hale Davis and son Robert were Marshfield visitors Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilke spent Tuesday afternoon at Marshfield.
Mr. A. Lombard was at Marshfield Sunday.
R.J. Breseman of Chili transacted business here on Monday.
Leonard Dorst was a Neillsville visitor on Saturday.
Eugene Osgood was a Neillsville visitor on Tuesday.
Mrs. Rella Osgood was a Neillsville visitor on Tuesday.
Miss Olga Speiser and Arthur Grassman were Neillsville visitors on Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Graves are home from Fond du Lac since Thursday evening of last week.
W.S. Davis and Chas. Wilke attended the Bankers convention at Eau Claire Wednesday evening.
H.O. Wing of Wyville, after a several days visit at Ted O’Brien’s in the town of York, went home Saturday.
Mrs. H.E. Williams went to Neillsville Tuesday evening to visit old friends.
John Budd, a railway clerk is here since Tuesday visiting his parents on route 4.
Mrs. Baer spent last Friday at Neillsville engaged with abstract work.
Miss Emma Hahm went to Neillsville Tuesday to visit relatives in the Gus Holtz family.
Miss Anna Teatz, after a month’s vacation, returned to Whitehall and her work at the County asylum there Tuesday.
Mrs. Ordie Marshall at Route 4 left for Beloit Tuesday evening to take her little sister Elizabeth Bower home and make a short visit there among relatives.
The mask ball given by the Crandall Orchestra, proved a pleasant social affair last Saturday evening. The music was good and all had a fine time. Many spectators enjoyed looking on.
Mrs. Herbert Pischer of Elgin, Minn., who journeyed her two weeks since to attend the funeral of her maternal grandmother, the late Mrs. Plauel, went home Tuesday.
G.E. Amidon went to Melrose Tuesday in response to news that his mother was alarmingly ill with pneumonia.
Frank Zorn, who was so alarmingly ill with pneumonia a few weeks since, is about recovered again. He made a train trip to Neillsville Tuesday and says he expects to resume his carpenter work next week, for sure.
Harry Ross and Paul Felser came down from Tripoli Thursday evening of last week and were in attendance at the annual inspection of Co. A. at Neillsville, returning to Tripoli on Friday.
The ladies aid of Rev. Reiff’s parish, which was to have met with Mrs. Richard Kurth next Wednesday, is on account of her absence at Milwaukee, indefinitely postponed, although March 14th is the date now planned on.
Emil Prange made a business trip to Neillsville Tuesday. His little daughter Aurelia is home from the Marshfield hospital since last week Tuesday and although as yet flat on her back and confined to bed she is well on the road to recovery.
Theodore Larson was called to Osseo Friday to attend the funeral of his aged mother, Mrs. Ole Paterson, a woman of 90 years whose death resulted from advanced age and a general decline.
Ferdinand Sholtz of Neillsville spent several days of last week here with relatives in the Adolph Schune home.
Webb Winn was one of the pallbearers at the funeral of the late Greenleaf Redmond at Neillsville last Saturday morning.
Mrs. Walter Moldenhauer and son Alfred, after a several weeks visit among relatives here, went home to Spirit Falls on Friday.
Louis Kleinschmidt and his friend G.E. Dox of Leola, S.D., who is here visiting friends at Nasonville, called on friends here last Saturday.
Alfred Gerber has been very ill the past two weeks suffering from a gathering in his ear and congestion of the lungs.
Miss Mary Schune has spent the past week at the bedside of her father, Wm. Schune, who has been very ill with heart trouble.
The Roder School will give a short program and social at the schoolhouse Friday evening, March 2nd.
Mrs. Richard Kurth was called to Milwaukee Saturday by the sudden death of her niece, Miss Ida Riedel of that city.
Mrs. Ward Lockman and baby are here with Mr. Lockman at the L.E. Moh farm since Tuesday when they moved here from Columbia.
The Misses Agnes and Ada Pischer of Chili came over last Saturday and visited relatives here and at Neillsville until Tuesday.
Mrs. P.M. Rose joined Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Crosby in a trip to Glenbeulah last Friday and returned home early this week.
Geo. King came home from Madison last week just in time to attend the annual inspection of Co. A at Neillsville Friday night. Geo. was to Madison to visit his best girl.
Wm. Schune, a man of 82 summers, was taken suddenly and alarmingly ill with heart trouble last week Thursday and is as yet, although considerably improved, confined to his bed.
Will Kurth came home from Milwaukee and the bedside of his wife there last week Thursday and returned there again on Saturday, although all reports are to the effect that Mrs. Kurth is doing nicely.
The Granton Cardinals played basketball at Alma Center last Friday night. The resulting score was 41 to 25 in favor of the Cardinals. They played at Stratford Tuesday night and the resulting score was …(missing part)
Old friends of our former townsman Geo. Wilding will now find him at home with his family in their recently purchased home on Court Street in Neillsville in the new house west of the new schoolhouse building, recently purchased by J.L. Neverman.
Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Vandeberg made a business trip to Marshfield on Wednesday. They have rented a 35 acre poultry farm withing the city limits from his uncle Melvin Lawrence and expect to move there the first of next month.
Mrs. Andress of Tomah, Rudolph Grassman of New Lisbon and Mrs. H.W. Batalia of Tunnel City came Monday to visit their aged mother and other relatives in the Fred Grassman family and left on the return trip Wednesday.
Geo. Fraser is home from St. Louis, Mo. since Wednesday morning. Mrs. Fraser and little Wilbur have plans on remaining there for six months. There the little fellow will have the best medical care and treatment and they are now hopeful of his eventually walking again.
Mrs. Albert Jahr, who is visiting her parents Mrs. And Mrs. Fred Hemp at Neillsville, has been quite ill for the past two weeks and is not expected that she will be home here again until the first of March.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lammers and little son moved back to Plymouth the first of the week. Mr. Lammers sold out his property interests here.
Mrs. Rockwell of Fond du Lac came up last week Wednesday and attended the funeral of Mrs. Betsy Ide, her aunt, and left on the return trip on Friday.
Mrs. M. Hasz, accompanied by her sister-in-law Miss Emma Hasz of Loganville, who is here on an extended visit, spent Thursday night of last week with friends at Neillsville.
Chester Lawton, Ernest Todd, Lester, Perry Thayer, Frank Johnson and Adelbert Gardner, members of Co. A of the 3rd Rgmt. Went to Neillsville Thursday evening of last week to be present at the annual inspection held that night.
L.H. Schneider of Algoma purchased the Art Lammers factory on Route 1 last week and with his wife and baby Norman, his sister Miss Amanda Schneider, and his brother-in-law, Julius Bathke, arrived here last Saturday and until they took possession the middle of the week, were guests in the Oscar Eberhardt home.
