Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt of the town of Levis have been visiting relatives and friends here for the past week.
Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and little son of Ebbe visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Scholtz, several days last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Shafer of Granton came over and spent Sunday with her grandmother, Mrs. John Altenburg and family.
Mrs. James Tremelling came Sunday morning from Marshfield in response to the message of the death of her father, John Altenburg.
Wm. Sternitzky transacted business at Neillsville on Saturday.
Miss Frances Brooks came down from Eau Claire Friday and visited her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Geo. Brooks, until Sunday when she returned to her studies at the Normal.
Miss Gladys Wage will give a basket social and entertainment at the schoolhouse Thursday night. Everybody is invited to attend.
Roy Brooks arrived home Saturday morning from Morristown, S.D., and gave his parents a surprise, and on Monday he left for Madison where he has accepted a position for a short time.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brooks gave a chicken pie supper and entertained Mr. and Mrs. R.T. Washburn, Mrs. Mary Norman, Crague Montag and E.F. Brooks.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sternitzky entertained at an oyster supper Monday evening for Mr. and Mrs. John Martin and family, Mr. and Mrs. Max Opelt, Miss Gladys Wage, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sternitzky and family and Dr. Schultz.
Albert Altenburg arrived Tuesday morning, accompanied by his two cousins Henry Altenburg and Ed Nolte, all of Hazel Green, to attend the funeral of his father John Altenburg Sr.
