Kaddatz, Gustave Carl (30 January 1881 - 11 July 1967)
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from St. John’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church for Gustave C. Kaddatz, 86, of Neillsville, who died here
Tuesday. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff will officiate and burial will be made in
the Nasonville Cemetery.
Gustave Carl Kaddatz was born January 30, 1881,
in Germany and came to the United States at age of 14. The family located in
Chili. On March 27, 1914, he was married to the former Erma Albrecht, who died
June 7 of this year. They farmed in the Chili area before moving to the Town of
Levis, where they farmed until 1945, when thy moved into Neillsville.
Mr.
Kaddatz had been a supervisor for the Town of Levis for several years. After
moving to Neillsville, he was employed at the former American Stores Plant and
was custodian of the city hall and St. John’s Church and school.
Mr.
Kaddatz is survived by a daughter, Mrs. William (Lillian) Meier of Merrill; and
a son, Raymond of Wisconsin Rapids. Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Minnie
Beil of Chili and Mrs. Earl (Elsie) Winslow of Delaware; and by a brother,
Albert Kaddatz of Hortonville. Seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren
also survive.
He was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to scheduled service.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran
Church in Neillsville for Gustave Carl Kaddatz, 86, of Neillsville, who died
here July 11. The Rev. Norman W. Lindloff officiated. Burial was made in the
Nasonville Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Elmer and Lyle Kaddatz, Emil
Wesenberg, James West, Harland Meissner and August Nemitz. Mrs. Harold Mayer,
accompanied by Victor Lehmann, sang, “Just as I Am” and “The Lord’s Prayer”.
People from away here for the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. William Meier of
Merrill; Mr. and Mrs. William L. Meier of Tomahawk; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Meier of
Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kaddatz of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Lyle
Kaddatz, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Kaddatz, Mrs. Lyle Riehl and Kenneth W. Wehrman,
all of Hortonville.
