Gorman, Maude Alice (6 OCT 1896 - 15 JAN 1915)

Maude Alice Gorman died Friday at the Marshfield Hospital while undergoing an operation for inflammation of the bowels. Deceased was born to Mr. and Mrs. Con Gorman on Oct. 6, 1896, and at the time of her death was 18 years, 4 months and 9 days of age. She had been sick but a few days and she was taken to the hospital for an operation Friday morning, but died while still under the anesthetic.

Miss Gorman was educated in the Neillsville schools and was a young lady of many admirable traits of character and her death is a matter of sincere regret to her friends and keen sorrow to her parents and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her parents and two sisters and two brothers--Miss Mary of this city, Mrs. A.L. Sherman of Greenwood, Dave of this city and Edgar of Chicago. The funeral was held Monday afternoon, services being conducted at the Methodist church, of which church deceased was a member. Interment was made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
