Wedeking, Fred (Ear Cut Off - 21 JAN 1915)
A peculiar accident is reported from Abbotsford. Fred Wedeking, a young man
of that place, slipped and fell on a bowling alley, striking the side of his
head against the corner of an electric piano. No one saw the accident, but a few
seconds later someone noticed that one of his ears was gone, it was the first he
had heard about it, but sure enough on making an investigation he found he was
minus an ear. The lost member was found lying on the floor near the piano and
the ear and its owner were taken to Dr. Johnson’s office where it was put back
in place and it is now growing on again.
