Marg, David (12 May 1939 - 1 October 2012)
David Marg, 73, of Black River Falls passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at his
home. He was born May 12, 1939 in Black River Falls to Walter and Elizabeth
(Durst) Marg.
David grew up in Black River Falls and was a graduate of
Black River Falls High School. He was united in marriage to Kay Nortman and they
were later divorced. David married Marjorie Arnold June 1, 1988. He worked as a
horse and cattle dealer.
David enjoyed hunting, going out to eat and
telling stories. He was a member of Black River Lions Club and Kamp Kahuna.
David is survived by his wife, Marjorie; children, Chris (Tim) Lewis, Lisa
(Mark) Muth, John (Debra) Marg, Steve (Shari) Marg; stepchildren, Julie (Jay)
Borek and Jade (Amy) Pinley; mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Marg; 14 grandchildren;
10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Chris) Rommel, Shirley (Eric)
Cherwin-Engebretson and LuAnn Aschenbrenner; brother, Russell Marg; and other
nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his
father, Walter; infant son, Jason; brothers-in-law, Ray Aschenbrenner and
William Cherwin.
A memorial service was held Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, at 10
a.m. at Black River Evangelical Lutheran Church, Black River Falls, with Rev.
Eric Bakken officiating.
Family and friends were invited for visitation
Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Black River Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Black River Falls. Family and friends were also invited for
visitation Friday from 9 a.m. until time of the service at the church.
