Rev. Paul
Doering, pastor of the Loyal Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral
services Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Myre Funeral Home for Mrs. Carl Schmidt, 62,
of Middleton, who died Monday. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Albert Schaefer, Fred Smith, Paul Brandt, Ernst Molle,
Lester Schutte and August Lemberg.
His Eye is on the Sparrow” and “In
the Garden,” were sung by G.W. Nelson and Mrs. Paul Doering. They were
accompanied by Mrs. Byron Zepplin.
Attending from out of town were Mr.
and Mrs. Herbert Schmidt and Mrs. and Mrs. Ted Sannwald, Superior; Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Bertrang, Waunakee; James Elwood, Carl and Phyllis Schmidt, Middleton;
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Brandt and Darlene Brandt, Franksville; Mr. and Mrs. Tom
Ozanich, Mrs. Abe Luntz, Miss Ann Severson and Mrs. Harry Kurtzheim, Milwaukee;
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schafer, Mr. and Mrs. George Behringer and Allen and Georgia
Behringer, Winneconne; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith, Kathy Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Englebretson and Melvin Englebretson, Owen; Mrs. Eva Vogel, Wis. rapids; Mr. and
Mrs. John Brandt, Stratford, and many friends and relatives from Unity,
Greenwood, Granton and Spencer.
