Funeral
services were held Monday afternoon at Trinity Lutheran Church for William
Lindekugel, 74, a lifelong resident of Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), who died
Thursday afternoon, Feb. 15, 1962, at the Clark County Hospital in Owen. He had
been a resident there since Jan. 11. Rev. V.A. Ganz officiated and burial was
made in the Loyal Cemetery. The Myre Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Phillip Capelle, John Knoll, Julius Ehlert, William Seeman,
Ted Welsh and Adolph Voight. Mrs. Ervin Dux and Mrs. Erwin Noeldner sang, “The
Old Rugged Cross” and “Abide with Me”. They were accompanied on the organ by
Mrs. Kenneth Hansen.
Mr. Lindekugel was born in the town of Sherman
(Clark Co.) Nov. 15, 1887, and was married to the former Delia Stelson in Loyal,
Dec. 11, 1912. He lived his entire life in this area. He was a member of Trinity
Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, Paul, Sheboygan Falls, and
Robert and Victor , Oshkosh; and a daughter, Mrs. Arthur (Marie) Dahl, Granton;
nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Martha Trachte, Marshfield.
He was
preceded in death by his wife, who died in September of 1957, and a brother.
Attending from out of town were Paul Lindekugel and Marvin Bart, Sheboygan
Falls; Victor Lindekugel, Robert Lindekugel, Oshkosh; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Dahl
and family, Granton; Oscar Lindekugel, Mrs. Martha Trachte, Dorothy Niehaus,
Mrs. Bernard Niehaus, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Weber, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Len
Gehrke, Mrs. Clara Luther, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Don Brandt, Pittsville; Mr. and
Mrs. Walter Hohl, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Larson, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hohl, Mrs. Donna
Reinertson, Mrs. Anita Miller, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lindekugel and
family, Neillsville.
