Joyce E. #2 (24 MAR 1962)
Baskets of pink and white gladiolas adorned the
altar of Zion Lutheran Church during a candlelight service Saturday evening for
the wedding of Miss Joyce Foemmel, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Ray Foemmel, and
Donald Riedel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Riedel. The Rev. L.E. Schreiber
performed the marriage ceremony.
The bride chose for her attendants, her
twin sister, Joanne, as maid of honor, and bridesmaids were a sister Janice, and
Kathleen Riedel, niece of the groom. Attending the groom was his twin brother
Dale, as best man. Jim Messer and Wayne Foemmel, the groomsmen, also ushered the
guests. The miniature bride, Judy Riedel, and ring bearer, Tommy Riedel, are
both niece and nephew of the groom.
Mrs. L.E. Schreiber presided at the
organ and William Chambers was the soloist.
Following the church
services, supper was served to about one hundred guests in the dining hall.
Both the bride and groom are graduates of the Granton High School. The bride
attends Stout, Menomonie, and the groom plans to take a short course at Madison
before they take up housekeeping on a farm.
