Mr. and Mrs. William Essex were honored at a surprise wedding anniversary party Tuesday evening at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Grambsch. Mr. and Mrs. Essex were married 45 years on April 4.

Games were played and later a buffet lunch was served. An anniversary cake was the centerpiece.

The honored couple was presented with a corsage and boutonniere, and also with gifts from the 22 guests from Loyal and Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Essex were married April 4, 1917 in Richland Center and have two children, a son, Eddie Essex of Richland Center, and a daughter, Mrs. Clyde Grambsch of Loyal.
