Humbird (13 July 1967)
Lawrence Anklam of Waterloo, Ia., called
Thursday at the Raymond Stuve and Newton homes. He lived on the farm now owned
by the Dobson family, with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Anklam, several
years ago.
Hod Farnsworth, who had been a hospital patient, is now home.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Allen spent Tuesday and Wednesday with her son, Jack Moore,
and family in Wisconsin Rapids. Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Phillips of St. Louis, Mo.,
are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Phillips at the Art Allen home, and
in Wisconsin Rapids for a week or more.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Scholze
recently returned from a trip to the west coast with Mrs. Scholze’s sister and
husband, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schutte of Neillsville. In New Mexico they visited
the Ted Greens in Albuquerque.
Ellis Williams’ sister and family of
Canton, Ill., came Friday for a visit of several days in her brother’s home.
Mrs. Dorothy Snyder and Mrs. Emma Williams of Canton, Ill., who are
vacationing in Hatfield, spent Sunday at the Ellis Williams home.
Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Maulster of Milwaukee were weekend guests at the Gordon Gearing home.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jarolimek of Choteau, Mont., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Jarolimek, were supper guests recently at the Leonard Nelson home in upper
Garden Valley.
Eight ladies gathered last Thursday at the home of Mrs.
Laura Baumgartner for a housewarming and to help her celebrate her birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Pierce and Mrs. Bessie Spangler of Neillsville called
Friday at the Matti home.
David Fitzmaurice and daughter, Betty, of
Avalon, have been visiting his mother, Mrs. Annie Fitzmaurice, and other
relatives here.
Mrs. Maude Newton accompanied Mrs. Thane Joos and Karen
of Alma Center to Eau Claire Wednesday and while Karen took her organ lesson,
the ladies we re guest of Mrs. Archie Nelson of Eau Claire.
The W.S.C.S.
will meet today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Laura Dignin.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schultz and Miss Elsie Schultz of Marshfield were supper
guests Sunday in the Herb Adler home, and Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Schistel of
Marengo were visitors.
