ill at the Lem Curtis home.
Mr. and Mrs. W.R. Happe and daughter Elda
were Chili callers Friday afternoon.
Mrs. Reuben Fields and baby took her
father Jesse Sparks and her brother home to Sherwood Saturday, returning home on
Sunday.
W.R. Happe took Mrs. Helen Fiels and son Edgar to Neillsville
Saturday.
Gordon Davis and wife were Granton callers Saturday afternoon.
Wallie Baxton and family spent Sunday at Walter Drake’s.
Jay Curtis
spent Sunday under the home roof.
Richard Baller started out with his
threshing rig last week.
Charles Graham and Norman Rowe went to
Neillsville Friday, they being among those that were drawn in the draft last
week.
H.A. Knoll and family entertained a houseful of company Sunday.
Miss Bessie Atkins is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Ernest Lee.
Ed Coil and
family spent Sunday at Eli Lee’s.
There was a dance at C. Henningers’s
Saturday night.
Wm. Maluge and family of Marshfield autoed through here
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lee and children autoed to Withee on Sunday,
with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Zwick, and spent the day with relatives.
Mr. and
Mrs. Nate Drake came down from Maplehurst Sunday night with John Rollins, and
went back Tuesday, taking his team with him.
Mrs. Chas. Schuster and 2
children drove to Veefkind Sunday and spent the day with her daughter, Mrs.
Herman Weigle.

and family and Thode Davis of Granton were pleasant callers on our streets
Friday afternoon.
Mayhew Graham and Tom Stewart drove to Maplehurst last
Tuesday.
Norman Rowe and Miss Mollie Kidd autoed to Neillsville Tuesday
and returned as man and wife. Here’s best wishes.
Walter Drake and family
spent Sunday at the Gordon Davis home.
Mr. and Mrs. T.F. Lee were Sunday
callers at their son Ernest’s.
Chas. Schuster had a bee Monday to put up
a log barn.
The Misses Clara and Ella Schmidtke are home from Marshfield
for a short vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Pierce of Neillsville and Mr.
R.K. Dye of Fond du Lac were in this vicinity tuning pianos on Tuesday.
Vint Lee and wife of Neillsville took supper at the Ernest Lee home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Lee spent Sunday at the Rolla Beecher home in Granton.
Miss Jennie Calkins of Almond visited Tuesday and Wednesday with Mrs. Reuben
Fields.
Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Lee drove to Veefkind Monday. Mrs. spent the
afternoon with grandma Rollins, while Mr. drove on and called on Mr. Renne.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Eide delivered new Ford cars to Gordon Davis and Freeman
Dankemyer Tuesday.
