Jack Frost seems to be a frequent visitor. Some of the
corn patches have been quite badly damaged by him.
Carl Diercks was very
pleasantly surprised at his home last Saturday night in honor of his birthday.
Carl enjoyed the acknowledgment of his birthday very much, as well as the
surprises.
Grain is about all cut in this neighborhood and the farmers
are busy stacking and threshing.
C.B. Northup is threshing in this
vicinity this week.
Charley and Frank Greeler and their families autoed
over to Marshfield Wednesday and attended the fair.
Violet Fulwiler
returned Monday from a few days visit at Marshfield. She was accompanied by her
cousin Verla Rowe.
School begins next Tuesday in District No. 2 with Miss
Goldie Anderson of Owen at the helm.
Frank Kubat has bick on hand to
veneer his house.
Mrs. Mae Nutting and daughter Naomi of Loyal visited
between the A.P. Fulwiler and E.G. Rowe families last Thursday.
Emil
Winkelman and family autoed to the Marshfield fair last Thursday.
Next
week is the county fair and we will see the stunts if mothering turns up to
prevent.
