Jack Frost seems to be a frequent visitor. Some of the corn patches have been quite badly damaged by him.

Carl Diercks was very pleasantly surprised at his home last Saturday night in honor of his birthday. Carl enjoyed the acknowledgment of his birthday very much, as well as the surprises.

Grain is about all cut in this neighborhood and the farmers are busy stacking and threshing.

C.B. Northup is threshing in this vicinity this week.

Charley and Frank Greeler and their families autoed over to Marshfield Wednesday and attended the fair.

Violet Fulwiler returned Monday from a few days visit at Marshfield. She was accompanied by her cousin Verla Rowe.

School begins next Tuesday in District No. 2 with Miss Goldie Anderson of Owen at the helm.

Frank Kubat has bick on hand to veneer his house.

Mrs. Mae Nutting and daughter Naomi of Loyal visited between the A.P. Fulwiler and E.G. Rowe families last Thursday.

Emil Winkelman and family autoed to the Marshfield fair last Thursday.

Next week is the county fair and we will see the stunts if mothering turns up to prevent.
