Lindow drove to Marshfield Tuesday and got an independent corn binder. Same was
set up Tuesday by Mr. Hartwell and Glen Snow.
Nights are quite cool now,
close to freezing.
One night last week was cold enough to nip some of the
corn and cucumber vines.
Lester McHone bought a grain separator from Geo.
Verkilen and started out threshing grain.
Fred Grottke has company from
St. Paul at present.
Oren Young, who was on a vacation trip to Menasha
and Chicago, returned Saturday morning, having enjoyed the trip very much.
Mr. Stockwell surveyed the streets for sidewalk purposes Wednesday.
H. Pulz moved into his new house this week. He is glad the work is done so far.
While Gustave Kaddatz’s are making a visit at Menasha, Those Harriman is
taking care of his stock.
Our school will be a little later beginning
this year. There was quite a delay in getting some of the material for the
building, but things are in shape now, that the work will be hastened up a
little.
Fred Dankemyer and Oscar Neinas returned from the west Tuesday.
The Geldernick boys came back Wednesday. They report good qulity wheat but a
short crop. Look out for the price of flour.
