Pietenpol, Frederick (9 May 1900 - 26 July 1967)
Funeral services were
held Sunday afternoon from the Granton Methodist Church for Frederick Pietenpol,
67, of Milwaukee, who died there July 26. The Rev. William Dushek of Neillsville
officiated. Burial was made in Windfall Cemetery.
Mr. Pietenpol was born
May 9, 1900, in Granton. He attended Granton Grade School and Neillsville High
School. On October 5, 1929, he was married to the former Eloise Jarvis in
Winona, Minn. For the last 22 years he made his home in Milwaukee.
He is
survived by his wife; a son, Maj. John Pietenpol, serving with the air force in
Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carmen) Wojnarowicz and Mrs. James
(Yvonne) Seitz, both of Milwaukee. Other survivors are: three sisters, Miss Ruth
Pietenpol of Granton, Mrs. Harold (Marjorie) Trewartha of Neillsville and Mrs.
Luther (Josephine) Johnson of Ironwood, Mich.; a brother, Bernard Pietenpol of
Granton; and 10 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Lowell Trewartha, Robert
Prochnow, Richard Tibbett, David Pietenpol, Ted Downer and Roland Quicker.
Out of town people here for the funeral were: Smith Davis of Glen Ellyn,
Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Nonhof of Elm Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lammers, Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Pietenpol and Mr. and Mrs. Con Trass, all of Sheboygan; Mr. and
Mrs. Lamont Risseuw and three children of Cedar Grove; Mr. and Mrs. Al
Gettleman, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Benedict of Beloit; H. R. Baird of Greenwood; Mr.
and Mrs. Robert Prochnow and family of Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Trewartha
and daughter of Whitehall; Mr. and Mrs. Luther Johnson of Ironwood, Mich.; Mr.
and Mrs. David Pietenpol of Altoona; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wojnarowicz and Mrs.
Yvonne Seitz of Milwaukee; Maj. John Pietenpol of Germany. Many from
Neillsville, Granton and Chili also attended.
Funeral arrangements were
made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton.
