Sischo, Roberta Carol
(Marriage - 29 July 1967)
Miss Roberta Carol Sischo, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Sischo of Rt. 1 Neillsville, exchanged nuptial vows at 12 noon
Saturday with Jerome Poziombke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Poziombke, of Rt. 1
Neillsville. The Rev. George Nelson officiated at the nuptial high mass and
double ring ceremony in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.
Music
was furnished by the children’s choir of St. Mary’s. They were accompanied at
the organ by Mrs. Glenn Short.
For her wedding, the bride wore a floor
length gown styled with a fitted bodice of hand-clipped Chantilly lace that
featured a portrait neckline, edged with sequin and seed pearls appliqués. Long
sleeves came to a point at the wrists. The A-line skirt of organza-over-taffeta
featured an overskirt of Chantilly lace in a redingote effect, forming a chapel
train. A crescent waistline, encircled by a narrow organza band, formed a bow at
the front center. A forward-looking half-hat of iridescent sequin petals and
tiny rosettes trimmed with seed pearls held her bouffant veil of imported
English illusion. She carried a cascade arrangement of white miniature
carnations, centered with a lavender orchid, with green ivy cascading from the
bouquet.
Miss Cheryl Poziombke of Neillsville was maid-of-honor.
Bridesmaid was Miss Jan Schmidt of Loyal. The attendants wore lavender floor
length gowns, fashioned with fitted bodices, which were encircled with narrow
satin bands forming bows and streamers at the back. Bateau necklines and elbow
length sleeves were edged with wide ruffles. Their sheath skirts of nylon-over
taffeta were highlighted by lace Watteau trains attached to the back
shoulderline. Face veils attached that of the bride. Each carried a topiary ball
of purple asters trimmed with ivy and lavender streamers.
Neal Sischo,
brother of the bride, from Ramstein, Germany, was bestman. Groomsman was Tom
Poziombke of Minneapolis, Minn. Ushers were Ronnie Jakobi of Granton and Dennis
Evenson of Wausau.
The bride, a graduate of Neillsville High School, has
been employed by a transport company in Wisconsin Rapids. The groom, also a
graduate of Neillsville High School, is an aircraft mechanic with Delta Airlines
in Atlanta, Ga., where they will reside on their return from a wedding trip to
Northern Wisconsin.
Out of town guests here for the wedding included Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Waddell of Annandale, Ariz.; Mrs. Barbara Klemm, Mr. and Mrs.
Edward Smith and William Gee and daughter of Gurnee, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Sischo of
Loyal; Mrs. Rose Seidelmann, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs.
