Greenwood Locals (3 August 1967)

Cadet Edwin C. Egbert of the air force academy in Colorado and his mother, Mrs. Orval Egbert of Abilene Kans., arrived Saturday to visit friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vollrath have returned after spending a week in Illinois and with their son, Larry Vollrath, and family, at Golden, Colo., where Mr. Vollrath is attending the school of mining for the summer months. He and his family will return to Green Bay.

Rodney Lyon of Milwaukee is spending the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Erickson. Other guests at the Erickson home from Sunday until Wednesday last week were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wiglum and daughters, Lori and Ronda, of Edgerton, and John Lyon of Milwaukee.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gunderson and family of Osceola, Minn., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wuethrich.

Gail Carteron and Richard Wadipian arrived Sunday from Chicago for a week’s visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron.

Monday visitors at the Hugh Severson home were Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Corbin and family of Utica, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ozanich of Milwaukee; and Mrs. Lester Schuette of Unity.

Mr. and Mrs. Allan Harbort and son, Michael, of Milwaukee, visited a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Val Krainz, in Willard.

Mrs. William Petron, who had spent the last two months with relatives in Greenwood and other places in Wisconsin and Illinois, has returned to Kelleher, Minn. She was taken by her sister, Mrs. George Caliebe, who on Saturday attended the wedding of a niece. She returned Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Burnell Erickson and children, Joanne and Jered, of Pardeeville, spent Thursday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Erickson.

The Women’s Guild was to meet in Immanuel United Church Wednesday afternoon. Hostesses were to be Mrs. Henry Vollrath and Mrs. Alvin Albert.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Corbin and children, Tom, Kent and Patricia of Utica, Mich., who are vacationing in Tomahawk, visited one day last week with his grandmother, Mrs. Christ Keiner, and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Harland Carl and family of Madison are spending a week with his mother, Mrs. Irvin Carl.

Austin Mlada and daughters, Judith and Ellen, of Hales Corners and Mrs. E. L. Mlada of Marshfield visited Saturday at the home of Mrs. Maud Huntzicker. They were accompanied by Mary Mlada, who had spent a week with her grandmother.

Elery Moberg and daughters, Louis and Avis, visited Saturday at the James Horswill home in Wisconsin Rapids. They were accompanied back by Charmaine and Candace Horswill, who are visiting their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Elery Moberg, and at the Charles Klapatauskas home.

Mrs. Glen Drew and Mrs. Carol Ligon and daughter, Lisa, spent the weekend in Milwaukee. They were accompanied by Lori drew, daughter of the Ronald Drews of Milwaukee, who had spent a week here.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wells and son, Larry, of Marshfield visited last weekend with his mother, Mrs. Adelbert Wells.

Roxann Thiede of Granton is spending several days with her grandmother, Mrs. Walter Swieso.

Pfc. and Mrs. Conrad Jackson of Fort Lewis, Wash., and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Jackson, were guest Monday of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Hong in Eau Claire.
