Honeymooning in northern Wisconsin are Mr. and Mrs. Theron Schwieso, who
were married Saturday, June 2, 1962, in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church. The bride
is the former Joan Alene Schroeder of Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy
Schroeder, route 2, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.). Theron Schwieso is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Theodore Schwieso, Loyal.
Officiating at the 10 a.m. Nuptial
High Mass was Rev. Norbert E. King. The church choir sang.
For her
wedding day the bride chose a white full length gown of Chantilly lace bodice
styled with a scalloped neckline and trimmed with sequins and pearls. The skirt
was styled with net over taffeta with a court train of lace applique and her
illusion veil was caught to a pearl crown. She carried a prayer book with an
orchid, stephanotis and ivy.
Mrs. Duane Schwieso came from Jacksonville.
Ark. To be matron of honor. She is a sister-in-law of the bride. Mrs. Duane
Schroeder of Waverly, Iowa was bridesmaid. They wore street length frocks of
pink chiffon with a deep rose cummerbund and crown. They carried an assortment
of spring flowers in baskets.
The groom chose his brother, Duane Schwieso
of Jacksonville to be his best man, and the bride’s brother, Duane Schroeder of
Waverly as groomsman. Ushers were Bill Cole, a cousin of the groom, of Loyal,
and Jim Schwieso, a brother of the groom, of Loyal.
A breakfast for the
bridal party followed the ceremony at the Star Lodge Motel. A reception and
supper were held at Jane’s Lanes in Marshfield, and a dance was given at the
Eagles Hall in Marshfield.
The new Mrs. Schwieso is a graduate of Loyal
High School and is now a senior at Luther School of Nursing at Eau Claire. She
will complete the final year of school. Mr. Schwieso was graduated from Loyal
High School and is self-employed as a bulk milk hauler for the Owen Dairy. The
couple will reside on route 2, Loyal.
