The wedding of Jewell Marie Kroening of Edgar and Richard Allan O'Brien of Loyal
(Clark Co., Wis.) took place at St. John's Catholic Church in Marshfield at 1
o'clock Saturday, June 2, with Rev. William Jablonske officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. William Kroening of Edgar and Mr. and
Mrs. James O'Brien, Loyal.
As the bride approached the altar on the arm of her father, she wore a floor
length gown of Chantilly lace over taffeta with a Basque bodice featuring a
Sabrina neckline. The full hoop skirt was styled with alternating panels of lace
and tulle. She carried white carnations and red tea roses.
Attending as bridal aids were Mary Kroening, Edgar, maid of honor, and Patricia
O'Brien, Loyal, Mrs. Dale Stelson and Mrs. James O'Brien, both of Marshfield,
bridesmaids. They were gowned in street length dresses of silk organza with full
gathered skirts.
Wayne O'Brien, Loyal, was best man, with Roger Kivako, Spencer, and James
O'Brien, Jr. and Dale Stelson, Marshfield, as groomsmen.
Bruno's Supper Club was the scene of the wedding supper and dance.
The groom is a 1957 graduate of Loyal High School and has been employed here by
the O.W. Trindal Co. His bride is a 1960 graduate of Edgar High School and has
been employed at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield. The newlyweds will make
their home at 606 W. Arnold St., Marshfield, when they return from a honeymoon
to Niagara Falls, N.Y.
Guests for the wedding came from Loyal, Unity, Dorchester, Athens, Edgar,
Wausau, Abbotsford, Appleton, Rockford and Chicago, Ill.
