Tichy, Carlotta (23 JUN 1962)
Miss Carlotta Tichy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Tichy, route 1, Greenwood
(Clark Co., Wis.), was given in marriage by her father to Eugene Romsos, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Erling Romsos, route 1, Barronette, Saturday, June 23, 1962.
The Rev. Lloyd Mauer officiated at the 2 p.m. services in the First Methodist
Church at Neillsville. Mrs. Leland Appleyard furnished the organ music and
accompanied Mrs. David Pressler as she sang "O Perfect Love" and "Wedding
Prayer."
Miss Tichy selected for her wedding a floor length gown of silk organza over
peau de soie with a scoop neckline and full skirt with box pleats falling from
the waistline. Her fingertip veil was secured to a crown of pearls and her
bouquet consisted of a white orchid and pink roses with stephanotis and white
streamers.
Miss Elvina Tichy, Greenwood, was maid of honor, and Miss Sally Snyder, Thief
River Falls, Minn., and Miss Karen Romsos, Barronette, were the bridesmaids.
They wore dresses in ballerina length of aqua embroidered peau de soie with full
skirts and cummerbunds.
Their veils fell from aqua circular headpieces and they carried bouquets of
white orchids and pink roses with stephanotis. The flower girls were Sherri Ann
and Terri Nan Grap, Neillsville, and wore dresses identical to that of the
bride's.
Jerry Jacobsen, Alma Center, and Billy Billings, Minneapolis, Minn., were ring
bearers.
Robert Tichy, route 1, Greenwood, was best man, with Calvyn Romsos, Barronette,
and Byron Wickman, Fort Lewis, Wash. as groomsmen. The ushers were Junior
Jacobson, Alma Center, and Rockne Newton, Munde, Ill.
The reception was held at the Neillsville Legion Hall and a dance at the Silver
Dome Ballroom.
The bride graduated from Loyal High School in 1957 and is a 1961 graduate of
Stout State College, Menomonie. She was affiliated with Sigma, Sigma, Sigma, and
has been a home economics instructor at Barron Senior High School.
The groom graduated from Cumberland High School and is a student at River Fall
in the Wis. State College, and is employed for the summer by the Langfeldt
Construction Co.
After a wedding trip through the northern states and Canada, they will be at
home on route 1, Greenwood.
Guests attending the wedding came from Barronette, Eau Claire, Greenwood,
Neillsville, Black River Falls, Cadott, Loyal, Milwaukee, Barron, Marshfield,
Fairchild, Edgar, Kaukanuna, Tomah, Owen, Taylor, La Crosse, Sparta Pittsville,
Granton, Lyons, Mundelein, Libertyville, Berwyn, Chicago, Evanston, Stickney and
Oregano, Ill.; Minneapolis, Stillwater and Lake Crystal, Minn.; Valparaiso and
Gary, Ind.; and Los Angeles, Calif.
