Sgt. Angel Powell, Colby competed in the 32 Infantry Brigade Combat Team’s
annual Soldier and Non Commissioned Officer of the Year competition, October 11
to 14, at Fort McCoy.
Powell earned the title of 32nd Brigade’s “NCO of the Year” and will compete in
the upcoming state competition in April.
Sgt. Powell is an active National Guardsman, who also serves as howitzer section
chief for Battery A, 1 Battalion, 120 Field Artillery. He represented his
battalion at the 2012 fiscal year completion along with 12 other solders and
noncommissioned officers from around the state.
