Frank Salter appeared on the streets Tuesday morning with a grin on his face
that made his mouth appear like the mouth alluded to by Zachariah Spicier, so
large that he could not eat custard pie without mussing his ears.
He immediately proceeded to the meat market and purchased a double quantity of
meat, saying that as the family increased, rations must be increased according,
and that the 10.5 pound gild which came Monday evening was worth something.
We are pleased to say the mother and child are doing finely, and with proper
care the father will pull through.
