----- Behnke, Darlene G. (7 JUL 1962)
When Darlene Gertrude Behnke approached the altar of Trinity Lutheran Church on
the arm of her father, she was attired in a white floor length gown of nylon
embroidered organza. Her square neckline was enhanced with embroidered nylon
appliques and a four tiered entrained skirt was attached to the basque
waistline, four bows adorning the train.
The wedding of Miss Behnke to Paul Albert Guillaume, Spencer, took place at 2
p.m. Saturday, July 7, 1962, while Mrs. Kenneth J. Hansen played the organ and
Janet Tjaden sang, "O Perfect Love" and "The Lord's Prayer." Rev. Phillip Mueher
of Nasonville officiated before an altar decorated with two white delphiniums.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Behnke, route 2, Loyal, and
parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Albert Guillaume, route 1, Spencer.
Completing the bride's attire was a fingertip veil fastened to a headpiece of
aurora borealis crystals and seed pearls. Her bouquet included red and white
roses and stephanotis with streamers.
The bridal aides who wore street length mint green nylon frocks with cummerbunds
and short lace jackets were Velora Behnke, route 2, Loyal, as maid of honor,
Patricia Behnke of Milwaukee and Doris Ann guillaume, route 1, Spencer as
bridesmaids. Face veils were attached to their headpieces and were ornamented
with pearls. Each carried pink and white carnations.
Louis Grottke, Chili, was best man, Russell Guillaume, Spencer, and Duane
Frahman, Unity, the groomsmen, and Kenneth Behnke and Wallace Sternitzky
ushered.
Wedding day events included a reception at the bride's home, a supper in the
church parlors and a wedding dance at Fahey's Ballroom in Rozellville.
The new Mrs. Guillaume attended Loyal High School and her husband received his
education at Spencer. After a southern Wisconsin honeymoon they will reside on
route 2, Spencer, where he is engaged in farming.
Wedding guests came from Wausau, Milwaukee, Neillsville, Spencer, Chili, Loyal,
Hendricks, Minnesota and Tyler, Minn.
