----- Blaettler, Corrine A. (7 JUL 1962)

Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Marshfield was the setting Saturday, July 7, 1962 for the wedding of Corrine Ann Blaettler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archie Blaettler, 705 S. Cedar Ave., Marshfield, and Larry G. Barker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Barker, route 2, Spencer.

Rev. Donald Wilger officiated at the 9 a.m. ceremony, for which the bride wore a luxurious nylon organza embroider chapel length gown over bouquet taffeta. A scoop neckline enhanced with seed pearls, with three-quarter length sleeves fashioned with embroidery, accented the fitted embroidered bodice which was embellished with sequins and seed pearls.

The bouffant skirt was fashioned with embroidery running down the front. The back was styled with a bow and the embroidery flowering graciously into the chapel train. A silk organza cloche sparking with seed pearls held her silk illusion fingertip veil. She held a bouquet of red and white roses.

Maid of honor was Lanette Fouser, Eau Claire, attired in yellow, and Nancy Schmutzer, Milladore and Arlene Fouser, Eau Claire, a cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids, both in mint green. The maid of honor carried green and white nosegay and the bridesmaids carried nosegays of yellow and white.

The ladies wore ballerina length dresses of frosted nylon over taffeta with a square neckline and cap sleeves. A belt of taffeta accented by a large bow in the back held their scalloped overskirts. Their crowns with blush veils were fashioned with pearl drops in the front and roses in the back.

The mother of the bride wore a black crepe dress with white trim and accessories, and a white lace dress was worn by the mother of the groom.

Leonard Neukirchen was best man; Robert Zygarlicke and Mark Mazuria were groomsmen; and Larry Grim and Gary Oehler were ushers.

A 12:30 dinner was served at the Armory in Marshfield for 80 persons and the reception for 150 guests was held from 2:30 until 6 p.m., also held at the Armory. A wedding dance was also held there during the evening.

Mrs. Barker, a 1962 graduate of Columbus High School of Marshfield has been employed by the Adler Baking Co. at Marshfield. Mr. Barker, who attended Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.) High School, is a baker at Eddie's Bake Shop, Merrill, where they are making their home at 606 N. Mill Street.

Wedding guests came from Abbotsford, Colby, Medford, Merrill, Wis. Rapids, Port Edwards, Milladore, Loyal, Spencer, and from Rock Springs, Wyo.
