Mrs. Katherine Kline, 77, died at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Eau Claire Home for
the Aged, of old age complications.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Myre Funeral home and
burial will be in the Loyal Cemetery. Friends may call at the Myre Funeral Home
beginning Thursday morning.
The former Katherine Schnoor was born Feb. 1, 1885 in Bluegrass, Iowa and was
married to George Kline on Dec. 14, 1904 at Wilton, Iowa. After their marriage
they moved to Wilton Junction, Iowa, where they lived for nine years. Then they
moved to a farm in the town of Beaver, Clark Co., Wis., where they farmed until
1952, when they moved to the city of Loyal. After the death of her husband on
Feb. 14, 1962, Mrs. Kline made her home with her daughter in Eau Claire, Mrs.
Earl Nelson.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Albert (Bertha) Ampe, Ogallala, Neb.;
Mrs. Eugene (Ida) Kline, Neenah; Mrs. Philip (Martha) Schanke, Rothschild; Mrs.
Robert (Anna) Underwood, New Carlisle, Ohio; Mrs. Earl (Flroence) Nelson, Eau
Claire; four sons, John, Loyal; Walter, Davenport, Iowa; Earl, Eau Claire;
George, Lincoln, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Elsie) Moeller, Walcott,
Iowa; Mrs. Ed (Lena) Gelhaar, Carthage, Ill.; Mrs. Tom (Minnie) Cook, Davenport,
Iowa.
She is also survived by six brother, William Schnoor, Alfred Schnoor, Hugo
Schnoor, Walter Schnoor, all of Davenport, Iowa; Louis Schnoor and Carl Schnoor,
Rock Island, Ill.; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Two sisters and
a brother preceded her in death.
