Ronald L. Dietsche, 66, Spencer, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at
Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, with his family y his side.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 20, at St. John’s Lutheran
Church ELCA, Spencer; Rev. Rebekah Tarras officiated.
Ronald L. Dietsche was born on July 10, 1946, in Wood County, the son of Buster
and Eilleen (nee Fisher) Dietsche. He graduated from Spencer High School. He
proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army from 1966-69. On Oct.
10, 1970, he married Nancy Mellenthin in Spencer. He was a long time member of
St. John’s Lutheran Church ELCA in Spencer. He was also a member of American
Legion Post 54 in Marshfield. He cherished time spent with his family,
especially his girls and his grandchildren. Ronald loved to spend time at his
Cottage on Pure Lake. Those who knew him best will miss his warm spirit and his
ability to fix just about anything.
Ronald is lovingly survived by his mother, Eileen; his wife, Nancy Dietsche,
Spencer; their children, Tammi (Michael) Schiferl, Marshfield, and Jodi (Paul)
Leezer, Spencer; three grandchildren, Brandon Schiferl, Grace Leezer and Matthew
Leezer; his siblings, Jan Dietsche, Bill (Rita) Dietsche, and Lorraine (Jerry)
Klungseth; as well as many other family and friends. He will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his father, Buster Dietsche.
