Elton R. Shaw was born on March 12, 1928, in Neillsville, to Ray and Anita (nee
Halle) Shaw. He moved with his parents to Marshfield in 1942. In his early

cut iron and cleaned metals. Eventually, he stopped trucking and started Shaws
Wrecking Yard. He married Cecilia B. Gosar on Jan. 29, 1955, at Holy Family
Catholic Church, Willard. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in
2005.
Elton is survived by his wife, Cecelia; four children, Joan (David) Boehning,

Marshfield, Zachary Shaw of Prairir du Sac, Denise (Michael) Lindau of
Mrashfield, and Anita Burkart and Jared Burkart of Marshfield; and two
