Hoeft, Veronica J. (8 September 1943 - 31 October 2012)
Veronica J. Hoeft, 69, passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 31, 2012, at her home.
Veronica was born Sept. 8, 1943, in Mauston, the daughter of Michael and Lenore
(Cowan) Powers. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1961. Veronica had
been a chef for the Marshfield Eagles Club, food service director for the
Granton School District and had been a chef at various restaurants.
Survivors include her mother, Lenore Powers of Beaver Dam; her son, Michael P.
(Lisa) Powers of Oakfield; grandson, Bryce Bornick; a sister, Sheree (Dave)
Neuman of Randolph; two brothers, Richard (Genevieve) Powers of Hartford and
Daniel Posers of Beaver Dam; dear friend Allen Last of Helenville; nieces,
nephews and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Bornick and William Hoeft; her
father; a niece and two nephews.
A memorial service was held Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Schmutzler Vick
Funeral home and Cremation Service, 500 Welsh Road, Watertown, with Father Jorge
Miramontes of St. Henry Catholic Church officiating. Visitation was one hour
prior to the service.
