Miss Genevieve Dyer of Fond du Lac is here since Thursday of last week visiting
her sister Mrs. Sharret for about two weeks. She is employed in teaching the Red
Cross classes in her home town.
Silo filling is the order of the day since the two hard freezes we had.
The people from here who are attending the state fair this week are Mr. John
Smith and son Herbert, Mr. and Mrs. Ordie Marshal, Chris Feutz and Ralph and
Arthur Short.
Mrs. Chris Feutz returned Friday from a visit to Richland Center, Gays Mill,
Gotham, Columbus and various other places.
The wedding bells rang out for Adolph Machel and wife, who were quietly married
last Wednesday. Adolph has spent his life in this community and is one of the
most prosperous farmers, as well as upright men and we, wish him great
happiness. Mrs. Machel is a stranger here. Her home was previously in Chicago,
but has all the appearances of a fine woman.
