Shortville (11 Feb 1915)

There will be a masquerade dance at the town hall Friday evening, Feb. 12. Prizes will be given to the couple with the best costumes, music by the Shortville German Orchestra. Everyone is cordially invited to attend, a good time is assured.

The Ladies Aid will meet with Mrs. A.J. Moldenhaur today (Thursday).

Hake Bros. are haling hay from Geo. Bue’s.

Hockett Bros. baled hay for T.M. Winters Monday.

Fernaddo Hockett and wife have moved out of T.M. Winters bungalow. They are planning on going to Richland County in the near future.

Amos Kegly, Will Stevens and T. Winters joined the Moose Lodge at Neillsville Thursday night.

Amos Kegley took a sleigh load of people down to Thompson’s Saturday night for a party and sleigh ride.

There was a surprise party on Will Ottow Saturday night it was Mr. Ottow’s birthday. A nice lunch was served at midnight, and the married folks danced until the wee small hours of the morning. They reported a jolly good time.
