Justine Mathewson, Appleton WI, age 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday May 14, 2000. She was born on January 17, 1938 in Chicago IL, daughter of the late John and Florence (Kozak) Kaplia. The family moved to Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) in the late 1940s. She graduated from Withee High School in 1955. She wed Norman C Mathewson (Owen, WI) on Feb 15, 1958 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Owen, WI.

She is survived by her son Steven, Denver, CO; and daughters Diana, Austin TX; Michelle (John Murphy) Appleton WI; and Reyne, Madison WI; a sister Violet (Phil) Turenne, Springfield, IL; and four grandchildren, Trisha Mathewson, Justin Mathewson, Ian and Gareth Murphy; and niece Traci Gagne.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Memorial services held on May 27, 2000 at Fox Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, the Reverend Roger Bertschausen officiating.
