Tom Clouse, 18, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), was injured Saturday afternoon when he was struck on the side of his head by four stray shotgun pellets. He was grazed above the ear, while another of the pellets was embedded below the ear. A finger on his right hand was also injured.

He is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, where his condition is described as "excellent."

Tom, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Domaine, was squirrel hunting near the Heintown Mound, southwest of Loyal, when the accident occurred about 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon. It is believed that the shot was fired from a 20 gauge shotgun.

He was taken by his brother, Elmer Clouse, and Allan Louis, Loyal, who were hunting with him, to Neillsville Memorial Hospital. When his condition became serious that evening, he was transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital, however it was found that surgery was not necessary.
